11 Working with radical periodicals

Alexandros Ioannides is an undergraduate History with Spanish student with a keen interest in international relations and solidarity movements. As part of the Junior Research Associate Programme last summer, he conducted research on Palestinian solidarity through the lens of Cyprus, exploring historical and contemporary connections. The work culminated in an academic poster highlighting Cypriot perspectives on Palestine, including insights from a family friend who reflected on shared struggles and Cyprus’ stance against becoming a NATO springboard. Passionate about decolonial narratives, he continues to explore intersections of history, politics, and identity in his academic journey.
